Johnson Associates accepts both contingent and retained search assignments and is a client fee paid executive search firm; there is no cost to our candidates.
Contingent Search: Contingent fees are paid only if the client hires a candidate submitted by Johnson Associates. Fees paid on a contingent search basis are paid at the successful conclusion of a search, and are due in full on the candidate’s start date. The contingent search fee is a competitive percentage of all first year’s income including base salary and any other guaranteed incentive paid to the candidate within the first year of employment. If the position is filled with a candidate not submitted by Johnson Associates, no fee is due.
Retained Search: Fees paid on a retained search basis are paid in equal one-third installments. One-third upon initiation of search, one-third paid at 60 days into the search and the remaining one-third paid upon completion of the search. Retained searches are conducted on an exclusive basis and all candidates, regardless of origin, shall be processed through Johnson Associates. The retained fee amount is determined by a competitive percentage of the candidate’s anticipated first year’s projected total guaranteed compensation.
